File View and Edit modes
DMSlite allows users to open files in ‘View’ or ‘Edit’ modes. This ensures that only select viewers can edit files while others can only access and view files.
The ability to view or edit files is decided by the application using the access rights of the user trying to access the files. A user with View only access will not be able to upload an edited version of the file back into the system.
A user who has editing rights on a file can make changes to the file and post it back onto the system. When he uploads the file back, he has the option of either uploading the file as a new version or to overwrite the current file content.
