A user can manage a lot of settings in the application using the settings manager in the application. The access to these settings is based on the privileges assigned to the user.
Version Settings
User can select version settings across the DMS. Versioning can be turned on or off for individual files based on need. Users can set a maximum number on the versions of the file that will be saved. For e.g. the system can have a setting to save only the 5 last versions of files
Workflow settings
The system automatically turns versioning on for all files that are added to workflow but user can change this default setting using a control in the settings panel

Alerts
Using this setting a user can stay updated on the activity related to a document or file. Every time any task is performed on the selected file, a notification message appears on the user dashboard that details the type of activity and the user who has performed it
Quick Links
This section is similar to the favourites option in internet browser. Users can access the stored links in a single click displayed in the quick links section.
