Finding documents easily is one of the main advantages of DMSLite. This means users can find information in the system using very little information (provided they have access to the information). Various search parameters are entertained by the search tool.

As the users type keywords, the search results start displaying as they type. This helps them quickly get to the file or folder of choice

Search can be narrowed by specifying which file type(s) the user is looking for.

This feature lets users search not only the file name and meat information, but also its content to find the keywords that the user has typed. This option can be turned off or on as per convenience

Users can define a time window of creation dates to narrow down the search results and find the most relevant results

For users who prefer to remember a document by its ID, a feature is provided where they can simply get to a document by keying in its ID

Keyword phrase search can be governed by rules such as the user wants the exact phrase or at least one of the words to appear in the search results.

The user can choose to search in the files archived by him to broaden his search scope.
