Custom file type definition
DMSLite document management allows users to define custom file extensions on the fly. This property of the electronic document management makes it extremely flexible to be used with any file time. This also helps it readily adapt to the increasing file types that may be stored in the system.
The software allows custom file type definition in the system by the administration. Every time a new file type is added to the system, the system adds it as a custom file type in its database and allots it a default icon. The user can later go in to the setting section and assign and icon thumb and a file type name.
The new definition of the file type as well as the file thumb is automatically applied to all the records in the system with the same file extension. These definitions can be changed at any time in the future by the administrator.
The administrator can also know how many files of each type exist on the system
